Partnership Africa Canada is a founding member of the Colours of Africa film festival. PAC believes it is important help African film directors show Africa today from an African viewpoint.
The annual Colours of Africa film festival of Ottawa-Gatineau showcases some of the best and most recent feature films from Africa, and brings African film directors, producers and actors to the region. It provides a unique and educational opportunity to experience contemporary African life and art, and to dialogue with the filmmakers themselves. Colours of Africa supports the development of African and Canadian film industries by expanding Canadian audiences for African cinema and by creating opportunities for collaborative initiatives among professionals in the private, public and non-profit sectors.
The Colours of Africa film festival takes place in April. It is organized by individuals and organizations in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, with support from Partnership Africa Canada. Films are presented in collaboration with the Vues dAfrique film festival of Montreal. Colours of Africa is grateful to many individuals and organizations for their support.
